As an associate, you'll be able to expand your base of knowledge about a variety of antiques and collectibles, while refining your retail skills. The Brass Armadillo believes in promoting personal and career development. Advancement as well as salary enhancements and bonuses are determined by your wo rk attitude and enthusiasm for customer service. The company believes strongly in promoting from within employee ranks whenever possible, and management opportunities are extended to high-performing associates. A VARIETY OF POSITIONS AND SCHEDULES Our malls are open 12 hours a day, seven days a week, so we can offer a variety of part-time and full-time positions with flexible schedules. We have openings for after-school hours, mother's hours (9am to 3pm), as well as weekends and evenings. Managerial and su pervisory positions offer career enrichment opportunities for associates with aspirations for advancement. Full-time associates are hired usually for salaried managerial and supervisory positions. These associates work 40 hours or more a week, depending on their job descriptions and responsibilities. Part-time employees work less than 40 hours on the average, and most often are assigned to hourly sales associate and support staff positions. |
EXCELLENT
TRAINING AND ORIENTATION All new associates complete the Br ass Armadillo's standardized training program. This includes training in customer service, sales procedures, cash register operation, security issues and general information about antiques, furniture and collecting. Additional management and sales trainin g programs may be offered to supervisory employees.
COMPETITIVE COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS The Brass Armadillo strives to provide associates competitive compensation and bonus programs, which reflect extensive market and peer group analysis. Salaried and h o urly pay schedules are commensurate with experience and skills. When the Brass Armadillo profits, so do its employees. Bonuses based on individual mall performance are paid quarterly to all associates. This form of compensation promotes team building and a llows associates to share in the rewards of a job well done. Tenure Bonus is another incentive offered by the Brass Armadillo. This program pays $500 to employees who have worked more than 1,000 hours in a year and $1,000 to those who logged more than 1,5 00 hours. In addition to the above compensation, the Brass Armadillo offers health care benefits to full-time salaried employees. |
